Parkview Place Expands Music & Memory Program

With support from the Enderby & District Care Society, VJH Foundation has funded a docking station and iPod Nano for the Music & Memory program at Parkview Place in Enderby.The new equipment helps expand the program to common areas in the facility such as the Activity Room, Dining Area, Patio and Library.Music & Memory is integrated into a resident’s care plan, helping to enhance communication and cognitive functions through personalized music playlists. Music can help reduce anxiety, stress and confusion.VJH Foundation has also funded the purchase of iPods, music and headphones for residents at Noric House in Vernon, Pleasant Valley Manor in Armstrong.  Read more about Music & Memory here.
