Vernon Kokanee Swim Club Fundraiser a Splashing Success!

The Vernon Kokanee Swim Club (VKSC) recently hosted their annual fundraiser, with all proceeds supporting Swimming Canada, Swim BC and the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. With the funds raised, the VKSC membership was able to donate more than $1,300 to the Foundation.

More than 80 swim club members participated, swimming 1 Kilometer, 2.5 Kilometers, or 5 Kilometers depending on their age and ability. Some swimmers as young as six-years-old swam the 1 Kilometer test and some of the older swimmers finished the 5 Km in just over one hour.

Thank you to everyone who participated and to all of the volunteers who made the event possible.

VJH Foundation Executive Director, Kate McBrearty, joined members of the Vernon Kokanee Swim Club to celebrate the success of the Club’s annual community fundraiser.
