Light a Bulb Reaches $115,038

With the 27th annual Light a Bulb campaign underway, Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation has reached 46% of its goal, raising $115,038.00 to date.“We are happy to be off to a strong start due to several large donations,” said Richard Finn, Campaign Co-Chair. “There is still a long way to go to reach our goal of $250,000, so every donation is important no matter how large or small.”This year’s Light a Bulb is supporting the Building a Tower of Care Campaign, Phase II, to furnish and equip the 6th and 7th floors of Polson Tower.Campaign donations include $50,000 from Armstrong/Spallumcheen Healthcare Auxiliary, $1,500 from Royal Purple Lodge #123, $1,000 from Elks Lodge #45, Alpha Epsilon Master Beta Sigma Phi, Coldstream Women’s Institute, Country Squire Barbers and J-Ball Electronics.To help the VJH Foundation light the tree a top the hospital and let the spirit of generosity shine this holiday season, donations can be made online at vjhfoundation.org, by mail to VJH Foundation, 2101-32nd Street, Vernon BC V1T 5L2 or phone 250.558-1362.
