JCI Vernon Hospital Gala Raises $23,700

The 5th annual JCI Hospital Gala held April 12th at the Best Western Vernon Lodge raised $23,700 for the Building a Tower of Care Campaign, Phase II.  The theme, ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’ proved to be popular with hundreds of Hollywood look-a-likes walking the red carpet to the sold out event.Featuring live and silent auctions, a casino, red carpet welcome, entertainment from The Marksmen and Alex MacArthur, and an old Hollywood-themed keepsake photography booth, the gala attracted more than 350 guests.

“We are very thankful for the amazing community support we have received for the gala,” says Co-chair Nicola Dent.  “Without our many sponsors, committee members and volunteers this night just could not have happened.”

Co-chair Sandra Simao acknowledged the longstanding partnership between JCI and VJHF,

“Thank you to Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation for all the support and confidence placed in us as a chapter over the years.  Our relationship is one that we sincerely cherish in this community.”

Since 2002, JCI Vernon has raised $272,894 for areas of need at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.  Foundation Vice President and Tower of Care Campaign Co-chair Richard Finn acknowledged JCI for their dedication to organizing such a dazzling event for the community.  “We appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication from JCI in supporting our hospital’s needs.  The hard work they do each year for the Foundation is to be applauded.”JCI Vernon is an organization for young people between the ages of 19 and 40 who have a desire to better themselves and the communities they live in.
