Girls Gone Wild Give Back
Their annual bus trip was another great success! Each year, Linda Donhauser organizes a shopping trip to Tulalip Casino Resort in Marysville, Washington for a huge group of ladies who call themselves “Girls Gone Wild.” Their trip is more than a fun way to get together with girlfriends; it is also a great opportunity to give back to the community.September 2018 marked the 12th consecutive year of the trip to Tulalip, with 56 local women participating. The trip has proven to be very popular; there is even a wait list for 2019! Each year, the ladies raise money through activities like silent auctions, door prizes, golf and bowling tournaments, ensuring they support local businesses throughout their fundraising.Girls Gone Wild has donated to many charities over 12 years. “I decided this year that we should focus our donations to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation as everyone uses the hospital, and they help so many people,” said Linda Donhauser, founder and organizer of Girls Gone Wild. “I am so proud that a group of ladies on a fun bus trip found a fabulous way to make a difference in our own community, raising money for such great causes.”This year, Girls Gone Wild raised $780 for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.“This annual trip sounds like a ton of fun, and it is wonderful to see this vibrant group of women choosing supporting local healthcare while having a great time,” says Lisa Westermark, VJH Foundation Executive Director.
