7-year-old’s birthday money donated to VJH Foundation

Abbie Boyle just turned 7 years old and had a fun birthday party doing gymnastics with her friends. But unlike most 7-year-olds, Abbie also wanted to give back to her community to celebrate her birthday.Abbie was inspired by her friend to combine their birthday parties and raise money for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. They asked each party-goer to give a toonie to support their cause.Abbie, along with her mom and sister, paid a visit to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation to make a generous donation of $34.00 to support the greatest area of need.“It is so encouraging seeing today’s youth thinking about how they can give back to their community,” says Lisa Westermark, Executive Director of the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation. “We are lucky to have young women like Abbie supporting the VJH Foundation!”
