You have the power to make a difference.
Acknowledging donors in a personal way is Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s way of saying thank you. It is important to publicly recognize the power of giving, so the Foundation has made it a priority to recognize those who support it. Donors are recognized in a number of ways such as thank you letters, certificates, plaques, newsletters, receptions, etc.
Tribute gifts are donations made In Honour or In Memory of loved ones. Each time a gift is made to honour a friend or loved one, the honouree is notified of the gift. In the case of Memorial Gifts, the next of kin is notified of the donation. All tribute gifts are recognized on a cumulative basis and memorial gifts totaling $1,000 or more are listed on the Memorial Wall of Honour.
This program encourages people to honour that special “angel” that has touched the person life through their caregiving. It could be a physician, nurse, other staff member, or volunteer helper at Vernon Jubilee Hospital or its residential care facilities. By saying thank you to the caregiver through a donation to Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, the person being honoured receives a letter from the Foundation telling them that they have been honoured and by whom.
