VJH Foundation Elects New Board for 2016-17

Following the election of new officers at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation’s Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, September 13th at Nixon Wenger, the Foundation is pleased to announce the Board of Directors for 2016-2017.

She has served on various non-profit boards and is a former National President of May Court Clubs of Canada. Scott has also participated on numerous fundraising committees including Wine, Women & Woods Tee off for the Cure for VJH Foundation, as well as the Heart of Gold Gala and the Interior Health & Surgical Centre for KGH Foundation.Following a career in materials management in Alberta and northern British Columbia, Elaine Siemens retired to Vernon in 2007. She joined the VJH Auxiliary, serving as President in 2008/09. Siemens will serve as the Auxiliary representative on the Foundation Board.“VJH Foundation is excited about the expertise and enthusiasm Marilyn and Elaine will bring to our Board,” says Elise Allan, president.Retiring members Wilf Mulder and Gladys Schroeter were recognized for their commitment and contribution to the organization. Mulder joined the Foundation in 2009 as a member of the Building a Tower of Care Campaign, Phase I, then later joined the Public Relations Committee in 2011, before being elected to the Board in July 2013. Shroeter served as the VJH Auxiliary representative on the Foundation Board, acting as a communication bridge between the Auxiliary and the Foundation, beginning in 2014.Established as a Society in 1981, the Foundation raises more than $1 million annually to support health care in the North Okanagan including residential care facilities, community health services and Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
