The 3rd Annual Power of the Purse is a community fund raiser to directly help families in need in the North Okanagan.
The event comprises a Live and Silent Auction of designer purses with exciting prizes inside. Some of the live auction getaways include Tidal Elements Healing Arts Studio, Echo Valley Ranch and Spa, Pacific Coastal Airlines, Summerland Waterfront Resort and Spa, and Shuswap Lake Waterway Houseboats.
VJH Foundation is one of the beneficiaries of the event, with funds raised helping local families in crisis by assisting with expenses administered through VJH Social Workers.
Last year, funds helped many North Okanagan residents in financial distress, including families who had run out of medical EI while in recovery from traumatic accidents.
