Lars the Elf – Colouring Contest

Hello folks,
I’m Lars! The happy little elf who helps the VJH Foundation raise funds for much needed equipment at our Hospital, Long-term Care facilities and community health initiatives. Winter is easily my favourite time of year. Not because I’m an elf and it’s expected but because it’s my chance to come visit the wonderful people here in the North Okanagan. It’s the perfect break from working at the North Pole.

This year I’m bringing an early gift. My friend Mr. Frost, along with his helpers Brent and Paul, have designed, built and installed something new on the hospital roof. Watch for it at night! It’s quite special and it might even take your breath away.

Talking about breath. It’s been an important topic over the last 20-months between COVID-19 and the wildfires. So important that we need to enhance the respiratory equipment at VJH. Check out how we will all breathe a little easier – do you see what I did there? – with your support.

To celebrate the annual Light a Bulb campaign the VJH Foundation is inviting all kids (and kids at heart) to get out their favourite colouring tools, and have fun getting creative and colouring Lars the elf. To enter the contest, post a picture to the VJHF social media profiles on VJH Foundation Instagram or VJH Foundation Facebook page and tag #LightaBulb2021. Contest will close on Sunday Dec. 19, with one winner being randomly selected and announced on Dec. 20. Winner will be provided with a $50 gift card to a local store of their choice.
