The 2018 JCI Gala & Charity Auction – “A Phantom’s Masquerade” donated $20,078 to VJH Foundation.
The Event took place April 21 at the Vernon Lodge & Conference Centre. The evening included a fabulous 3-course meal, dancing, silent and live auctions.
This event will help us support our mission of giving back to our community. Our goal this year is to help support multiple areas in the community.
A large portion will still be donated to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation but we will be distributing the remainder of the raised funds to Teen Junction (North Okanagan Boys and Girls Club) & Vernon Women’s Transition House.
JCI Gala Raises $26,800 for VJH Foundation
The 8th annual JCI Hospital Gala held April 22nd at the Vernon Lodge and Conference Centre raised $26,800 for the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
Funds will purchase lifesaving emergency cardiac equipment that will be used when transporting patients to the KGH Cardiac Care Unit. This equipment will help keep both patients and health care staff safe during transport, allowing staff to assist patients while being safely belted-in.
‘Storm the Castle’ featured a medieval themed event with live and silent auctions, casino, a photographer, dancing and a medieval feast!
Since inception, the JCI Gala has raised $166132 for VJH Foundation to fund equipment and programs to improve health care in the North Okanagan.

The 7th Annual JCI Hospital Gala Raised $33,515 for Youth Mental Health!
The sold out event, ‘Pearls & Spurs’ featured a three-course meal, live and silent auctions, casino tables and entertainment by the Shawn Lightfoot Band.
Funds will benefit the Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Collaborative (CYMHSU), comprised of youth, parents, family doctors, specialists, three government ministries, RCMP/police, school counsellors, Aboriginal groups and community agencies and aims to provide increased and timely access to integrated mental health services and supports.
The local action team in the North Okanagan provides a mental health literacy program for youth, parental support, and youth-centered workbooks and therapeutic tools to children and youth admitted to VJH.
The 6th annual JCI Hospital Gala A Night in Paris, raised $22,920! The gala benefited the VJH Foundation’s $2.5 Million Tower of Care Campaign to equip and furnish the 6th and 7th floors of Polson Tower at VJH. The sold-out event took place Saturday, April 18th at the Best Western Vernon Lodge. Many thanks to everyone who took part in this memorable event!
The ‘Old Hollywood Glamour’ JCI Hospital Gala held April 12th, 2014 was an amazing success! Thank you to the JCI organizers, members, sponsors, volunteers and supporters for making this wonderful evening happen!
