The 8th Annual Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation Charity Classic Golf Tournament held September 10 at Predator Ridge Resort raised a record-breaking amount of more than $280,000.

The sold-out event sponsored by The Paul Docksteader Foundation raised funds for the purchase equipment for the cardio-pulmonary and emergency departments at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

7th Annual VJHF Charity Classic Raises $178,300

Over the past seven years, more than $1,172,00 has paid for much needed medical equipment for Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Some of the funds have been direct towards Polson Tower expansion projects, Surgical Upgrades and the McMurtry Baerg Cancer Centre expansion and renovation project.

The 7th Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament held May 28 at Predator Ridge was an overwhelming success, netting $178,300 to purchase surgical tools for the ORs at Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

The tournament has raised $1,178,400 net since 2010. The success of the event is thanks to Predator Ridge, its members and residents who annually support this event financially. “Without the generosity of our sponsors each year this impressive amount of money could not be raised,” said Sue Beaudry, Director of Development, VJH Foundation. “This is an important event for our Hospital and I wish to thank our major sponsors who helped make it happen: TELUS, Predator Ridge, Noble Outfitters, TOLKO, Wayside Co, Black & McDonald, Paul Docksteader Foundation, RBCDS, Silver Star Mountain Resort, Stutters DKI, Westwood, Okanagan Spring, Capri Insurance, Hillside Winery and all of our Hole sponsors.”
