Thanks to 105.7 Sun FM Vernon Have a Heart Radiothon held April 2017, VJH Foundation was able to purchase furnishings for the Winter Garden in the Women’s & Children’s Department at VJH. Funds were also raised for 3 NEO Blue Radiometers and 3 C02 Monitors for kids at VJH! Lisa Westermark from the Foundation and Karie Campen from VJH Support Services enjoy the view!
Tim Hortons is once again bringing smiles to kids and their families at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. The annual Smile Cookie campaign held September 8 to 17 at locations in Vernon, Armstrong and Enderby raised $26,670 in cookie sales and a matching donation from owners Dan and Jamie Currie. Chocolate chunk cookies decorated with smiley faces sold for $1.00 each to support Pediatric Care at VJH….
For the second year in a row, Nathan Campbell donated his birthday money to support sick kids at VJH. The eleven-year-old decided to forgo any presents, instead collecting money from his party, and having his parents match the funds with a donation from their business, Great Canadian Oil Change. Great job, Nathan! Hope 11 is a great year!
Cheerful, twinkling chimes are ringing throughout Vernon Jubilee Hospital celebrating each new birth at VJH. Birth chimes installed in the Women’s & Children’s Health Department can be heard via the overhead paging system, bringing smiles and joy to all who hear. At a ceremony held November 18th, the chimes were dedicated in memory of the City’s first obstetrician/gynecologist, Dr. Ted Jordan. The chimes were purchased…
In September, the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raised $33,866 in cookies sales and a matching donation from owners Dan and Jamie Currie. Funds will purchase physiological monitors for the Women’s & Children’s Health Department at VJH. Many thanks to everyone who took part in this annual campaign. To date, local Tim Hortons have donated $289,480 to VJH Foundation through the Smile Cookie campaign.
Thank you to the 16th Street Girls for raising $101 for Women’s & Children’s Health at VJH. During the summer the friends operated a lemonade stand. Great job!
Six-year-old Alex Mulder and his Mom, Nikki, made our day today! Last week Alex held a fundraiser at his home selling coffee, hot chocolate, cookies and best of all, HUGS, to friends and neighbours. Alex raised $21.22 in just one hour. He has designated the funds to Women’s & Children’s Health at VJH. Great job, Alex!!
Wentworth Music School has raised $1562.89 for Women’s & Children’s Health Services at VJH. Funds were raised from two concerts, A Tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young in April and last December’s Holiday Rock. Since 2011, Wentworth has raised $20,541.07 for Women’s and Children’s Health Services at VJH.
